He is a jerk my wife was trying to show her sympathy to the dead cat on the shop counter he yelld at her.i told him off. Could had him arrested for harrasing a disabeld wowmen .but he is a pig what a dirty shop .will never go back their again
It was a terrible experience...today. I had to call the police to get my bag back. He is so messy that he mixed up the receipts and said mine didn't match. He yelled @ me and refused to give me the bag which he'd had for almost 3 weeks; it was not repaired.
So much bad here. I have steadily worn quality, repairable-welt, American-made boots for at least twenty years, and have patronized all of the local cobblers that have been in the Utica area for this time. Getting boots resoled has always been a problem-free fix for me (up until the recent tragic death of Jack in Clinton). After disappointing experiences with Shaheen (they used to do a good job), I went to Rome. And even though his shop is filthy, smells strongly of rotting garbage and cat-waste, that Rush Limbaugh is always barking loudly on the radio, and that the proprietor himself is surly, argumentative, and cantankerous I held out hope that he could do a quality job. I was wrong. It is apparent to me that the man has an aversion to firing up his stitcher. Within days of having my boots resoled, the welts and soles separated from the slip-sole. I will now venture to Syracuse for my repair needs, hopefully there is a cobbler there who can fix a boot so that it lasts. Pathetic.
