My own experience they judged based on my apperance . Asumed I wasnt a christion because my old school ink and my past histry with alcohol and Drugs .
If you divorce beyond your control they will pick and choose side and be quick to judge.
This is the only church I truly felt it is my root, now I am living in Florida, I still had not find one church that I feel it is my root, I had miss this church more then I could ever imaging, Mr. and Mrs. Heck are the greatest I had ever known, I miss each and everyone of you. Amazing church. They welcomed my kids and I with open arms. They love God here is it easy to see. The Kids program is awesome. The music is lively and so are the people. The pastor teaches right from the bible and relates it in a easy to understand everyday way. God is present in this church and its people.

Jeff and Debbie Heck are two of the most loving and faithful people I have ever met. They are connected to God in deep and spiritual way and they can help you with your path to a more spiritual life.
. Yes the word is good . But be prepared to be judged. and be around hipicrits. pray for them and love them no matter what.
They also will shun you instead of praying for you when they feel youve sin .
If Jesus was to walk in there doors today looking like a 60s hippie he would not feel welcomed by most of the congregation. Specially the long time attending upper class.
Like Jesus said . Do as the religious say not as they do for the religious leaders do not practice what they preach.
